Breakdancing lives

Daniel and I talked for a long time in Spanish about a lot of things, including going to Cuba. I have to speak incredibly slow but it´s amazing that we can have conversations. Daniel is just as patient as Carolina, plus he´s in college to be a Spanish teacher so he knows tons plus he can hear my accent easily (he´s American).

At dinner We talked with Carolina about El Salvador and world politics. She doesn´t like Bush (shocking) and that the US exports corn to Central America. We tried to discuss the economic theory of farm subsidies but my Spanish failed there. Anyway, lots of talk in Spanish, which is obviously a very good thing...

After Dinner, Daniel and I walked to fifth avenue, which is the main street in Playa. I´ll have to take some photos. It´s crazy, with Starbucks and Burger King, while near our house it´s totally Mexican.

While we were walking we found some kids breakdancing at a bar (maybe Siesta Fiesta...I don´t remember). Check out this guy spinning on his head. Daniel, you have to send me that movie so I can post it or better yet post it here yourself.

Then we caught up with Marek and a bunch of other people at the Parilla (Spanish for grill) and then went to a beach club called the Blue Parrot before walking home.
