So my apartment always has a lot of people, there are 5 of us living here right now (Shawn, Helen, Maude, Damian, and me) plus Mariposa, our cat (the furry roomate) and a couple of other friends are often over in the evenings, so it makes for a full house. I'd say we speak Spanish 95% of the time which is pretty good and definitely helps me. There are a couple of native speakers that are really hard for me to understand when they speak to each other because of the speed and slang, but hopefully that will be better by the end of the month.
School is fine. I changed classes yesterday to a harder class and I have a test tomorrow. I should probably be studying instead of writing this blog, but oh well. I know I'll do fine as long as I can remember the irregular conjugations and understand the Chilean vocabulary that's new to me. If I don't get a 75 I have to repeat the same course next week. I haven't failed test in a while but I also haven't taken a test in a while. We shall see.
Life in the city is pretty different than at the beach but in some ways it's easier. I only have a 4 walk block to school. I joined a gym in the ground floor of my building and there are tons of stores, restaraunts, and bars in walking distance. Since I live on the 20th floor, I probably spend more time in the elevator than I do walking to some of the nearby shops. I do miss the beach but I'm planning on going for the weekend in about a week (next weekend). It won't be Tulum but we'll see how it stacks up. OK, off to study.

Yay - I'm glad you got moved up to the more difficult class. I thought the test you were taking was to be moved up to this class, so it's good you already made it. Cute cat, but she's no Lucy! Love you.
